  • In early June CRCA Researcher Toshiro Yamada worked with Lecturer Dr. Filippo Fazi in Southampton, UK to design and improve virtual audio rendering techniques for King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). They used a 22.2 speaker setup at the Institute for Sound and Vibration Research to develop a real-time algorithm and implemented variations that will be tested in the KAUST MPR, Cornea and Audio Dev Room. Dr. Fazi is an expert in acoustics and sound field control using loudspeaker array.

In addition to this research, Toshiro worked with various KAUST systems and made a number of improvements on Asset Manager. He has also presented a paper with Zachary Seldess of KAUST Vis Lab at the international Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression in Oslo, Norway.
